D&AD New Blood

During the last month or so I was part of the design team for the University of Plymouth Illustration course's stand at D&AD New Blood, which took place at Protein Studios in Shoreditch from the 4th - 6th July.

It's been a difficult but rewarding process - coming up with a design which was both cohesive and able to equally suit the work of 24 different students was no easy task. Over the last few weeks our 4-person team has been juggling aesthetic decisions, practical considerations, communications and the physical workload of producing the display (we hand-cut every blob!) and it's been amazing to see it all finally come together in real life. It was also fantastic to get to invigilate the stand and to meet and talk to so many interesting creative people.

I'm also hugely grateful for the rest of the design team (Danielle Glover, Jack Ratcliff and Alice Nimmo) for their inexhaustible patience, creativity and good humour, fantastic people and friends who I've been lucky to get to work with.
